UTHM INDUSTRIAL VISIT

HARTASUMA recently hosted Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Rail Transportation students from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) at our production plant in Pulau Indah. This visit will pave the way for the strategic cooperation between HARTASUMA and UTHM in the creation of future-ready highly skilled talents for Malaysian railways.
TECHNOLOGY DEPOSITORY AGENCY (TDA) VISIT

HARTASUMA and its consortium partner, Alstom were honoured and delighted to have hosted Technology Depository Agency (TDA), representatives from Ministry of Finance (MOF) and PRASARANA MALAYSIA BERHAD at HARTASUMA facility in Pulau Indah for a working visit to witness bogie assembly for the new Kuala Lumpur Additional Vehicle (KLAV) 27 Train 09 and train 10. KLAV 27 trains are the new four-coach Innovia Metro 300 for the Kelana Jaya Light Rail Transit route. KLAV 27 bogie assembly for Train 09 until Train 27 performed by HARTASUMA and guided by ALSTOM, is part of the contractual obligation under Industrial Collaboration Programme (ICP), managed by TDA.

Another milestone for the Bombardier Hartasuma Consortium. Along with Prasarana Malaysia we received 1 set of KLAV 27 four-car train (Train no 5) which was flown in by the Antonov AN124 all the way from Plattsburgh, North America. While the world struggles with the unprecedented impact of the COVID 19 pandemic, the Consortium is proud to keep to our commitment to ensure of a timely delivery to Prasarana. The train will be sent to HARTASUMA’s facility in Pulau Indah for its final assembly before being delivered to Rapid KL depot for commissioning.

HARTASUMA hosted PRASARANA Group Chairman YB Dato’ Sri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman at our manufacturing plant to witness progress of KLAV 27 Project. 27 new Bombardier Innovia Metro 300 trains set in stages until 2023 for the Kelana Jaya LRT line. KLAV 27 trains are equipped with a new system, the ’Digital Route Map Display’, integrated with a better door system, improved ‘Train Management System’ (TMS) and air diffuser to prevent condensation in the train. The four-car trains will provide commuters more comfortable ride and reduce waiting time from three to two minutes.

HARTASUMA recently joined hands with the All Malaysia Malayalee Association (AMMA) and Mamanggam Klang for a donation drive in Pulau Indah and Klang to help ease the burden of those directly impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. More than 100 families received boxes of food and essential needs. HARTASUMA was represented by Chief Technical Officer, Dato’ Isom Azis, Project and Business Development Director, Mohamed Rizal Sapari and Group Head of Human Capital, Ekmal Hisham.

Celebrating our young talents who have completed Graduates Employability Scheme (GETS) Programme under HARTASUMA UNIKL partnership. The ceremony also saw the exchange of collaboration note between HARTASUMA and UNIKL to strengthen strategic cooperation between two parties in the creation of future-ready highly skilled talents for Malaysian railways. We were elated to have Deputy Minister of Transport YB Dato’ Kamarudin Jaafar gracing the event and witnessing local capabilities and technology in rolling stock assembly and refurbishment!
