Group Chief Executive Officer

Dato’ Muhammad Isom is a leading figure in railway operations and management having spent over 23 years in Malaysia’s railway industry. Formerly, he served as the CEO of Prasarana Rail and Infrastructure Projects Sdn Bhd for Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (PMB). During his tenure as CEO, Muhammad has guided many integrated light metro projects to a successful handover to operations and maintenance. He assumed full responsibility for Rapid Rail’s operations, engineering and the maintenance of the light metro transit systems in Kuala Lumpur (Rapid KL). He successfully managed the complete manufacturing process from initial work in the factory to testing and commissioning to release for commercial service. Due to his emphasis on quality, Rapid Rail have reached the top quantile of International PT operators (NOVA/COMET). In his role as CEO, Mohammad’s rich understanding of the criticality of Access and Integration for rapid transit was a driving force for the design and delivery of the national Light Rail Transit (LRT) 3 project in Malaysia, and the associated integrated bus feeder system.



Group Project/ Business Development Director

Mohamed Rizal has held the position of Project and Business Development Director since January 2013. Dynamic and highly motivated, his illustrious career spans 16 years of increasingly senior roles in the local railway industry. His key responsibilities involve the direction of business functions, strategic design, acquisition, management and implementation of business objectives and also managing Government & stakeholder relationship. In addition, he leads and develops strategic communication plans to ensure market presence and brand awareness. His wealth of valuable experiences in Project Management allowed him to successfully deliver key milestone railway projects for KTMB and PRASARANA. Being a passionate railway figure, he finds time to be actively involved in giving career and motivational talks as part of the Government’s initiatives to enhance the railway industry of Malaysia. Mohamed Rizal holds a Bachelor of Business in Business Administration degree with Honours from Portsmouth University, United Kingdom.


Group Chief Strategy Officer

Rajan is responsible for overseeing the Group’s strategic finance function, corporate matters, manage group risk and aligning the Group with its overall longer term strategic objectives. Rajan was with HARTASUMA from 2012 until 2014 as Head of Business Development and Strategy, and then returned in 2019 to assume this new position. Prior to this he held managerial positions at Ernst and Young (EYKL) in both audit and consulting roles, and in Capital and Balance Sheet Management at Ambank for a combined work experience of 18 years to date. Rajan, who has a Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc) in Physics from Imperial College London, is also a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW).
