Dato’ Muhammad Isom is a leading figure in railway operations and management. He has spent over 23 years in the railway industry. He is previously CEO of Prasarana Rail and Infrastructure Projects Sdn Bhd for Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (PMB). Muhammad has guided many integrated light metro projects to a successful handover to operations and maintenance. He had full responsibility for Rapid Rail’s operations, engineering and the maintenance of the light metro transit systems in Kuala Lumpur (Rapid KL). He managed the complete manufacturing process from the initial work in the factory to testing and commissioning to release for commercial service. Due to his emphasis on quality, Rapid Rail was in the top quantile of International PT operators (NOVA/COMET). In his role as CEO, Mohammad’s understanding of the criticality of Access and Integration for rapid transit is driving the design and delivery of the national Light Rail Transit (LRT) 3 project in Malaysia, and the associated integrated bus feeder system.

Mohamed Rizal holds the position of Project and Business Development Director since January 2013. Dynamic and highly motivated, his career covers 16 years of increasingly senior roles in railway. Responsible for the direction of business functions, strategic design, acquisition, management and implementation of business objectives, he also manages Government & stakeholder relationship. In addition, he leads and develops strategic communication plans in ensuring market presence and brand awareness. Successfully involves and delivered key milestone railway projects for KTMB and PRASARANA, his wealth of experiences in Project Management is certainly valuable. Being a passionate railway figure, he is also actively involved in giving career and motivational talks as parts of government initiatives to enhance railway industry in Malaysia. Mohamed Rizal holds a Bachelor of Business in Business Administration degree with Honours from Portsmouth University, United Kingdom.
MUHAMAD KHAIRUL AIZAH
Chief Operating Officer
Khairul Aizah leads the company’s daily operations and guides long term decision making including areas like engineering, procurement, safety and finance. Khairul began his career as an auditor in 2004, managing clients in the oilfield and government sectors. He joined Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Sdn Bhd (PROTON) in 2005 as an accountant and has held various senior finance roles until 2011 including Head of Finance at PT Proton Indonesia in Jakarta, Indonesia. His key responsibilities were in the areas of finance operation, group financial reporting, treasury management, tax, compliance and risk management. He returned to Malaysia in 2012 after having spent five years with Schlumberger, a leading oilfield services provider. His assignments included serving as a financial analyst and management reporting for wireline operations in United Kingdom and testing operations in Tunisia and Algeria. Khairul graduated from Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance. He is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
EKMAL HISHAM HJ ISMAIL

Ekmal Hisham has more than 26 years of diversified working experience in managing the full spectrum of HR functions such as the staffing organisation, shared services HR support for International Mobility programme and placement within Asia Pacific region, organisational development, talent management, compensation and benefits, employee and industrial relations in his past and current employment. Ekmal Hisham has various career exposures and sectors including the Government agency, Hospitality, Automotive Manufacturing, Solid Waste Management and Aviation. Graduated with MBA in Human Resource Management from MMU University, Bachelor of Science in HRM from University of Maine and Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Mara Institute of Technology.
